On behalf of Mental Health Carers Arafmi (WA) and Carers WA and the WA Carers Conference 2012 Organising Committee, we take great pleasure in inviting you to attend the WA Carers Conference 2012. The Conference themed “Caring at the Crossroads” will take place on the 23rd & 24th August 2012 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Never has caring in our communities been more prominent and prevalent. As our population ages and increases, with medical intervention extending lifespans, with mental health caring loads increasing, and with residential support not keeping up with the increasing demand, more responsibility is placed on family and other informal care. What does all this mean for families and other carers and the services and organisations that support them?

The WA Carers Conference 2012 is WA’s principle 2012 carer event for families and other carers, community service and families/carer related organisations, and interested government agencies.
